Alice is made from calico (the traditional fabric for making rag dolls), with non-removable, brown, felt boots incorporated into her legs. Her face has been hand embroidered and her hair has been created from thick, brown wool and styled into a ponytail. She is 52cm (approx. 20 and-a-half inches) tall.
We take great care when making the rag dolls to ensure that they will give years of play and companionship and are careful to include no small items. Alice will have a ribbon in her hair which is hand-stitched on to provide extra security. Our dolls are UKCA marked and are made from OEKO-TEX Standard 100 tested calico.
Alice arrives in her cotton, laced-trimmed pants ready for you to make her some lovely clothes from oddments of fabric.
Should Alice become dirty, she can be sponge cleaned, or if she gets very messy, she can be put into a tied pillowcase and machine-washed on a low temperature. The calico has been pre-washed so shouldn't cause any problems when washing. Alice's pants can also be machine-washed. Dry Alice flat.

The instructions are clear and easy-to-follow, and there are details of The Jemima Company's YouTube channel where you will find sew-along videos for all the patterns in this pack.
